Union Bank supports children at Paraigma Vidiyalaya Matugama

Initiated by the Matugama Branch, the Bank supported the children of the Paraigama Vidiyalaya Matugama, by providing a much needed play area, a fence for the safety of children and study material for the school. The school has 149 students from grade 1 to 11 and is located in a remote area in Matugama. The school has excelled in district level sports such as volleyball without having the basic facilities.

The staff from the branches and zonal office also donated several items of sports goods as part of the initiative.

This project is part of the Bank’s Zone-wise CSR projects plan. Union Bank is committed to supporting the well-being of children in-line with the Bank’s CSR strategy and is focusing on communities in areas the Bank has its business presence.
