2012
- Re-location to a state-of-the art Head office.

- Launch of "Union Factors".
- For the 1st time in Sri Lanka, Union Bank together with SLT PEO TV launched TV Banking, a novel banking p ortal that facilitates online banking services.
- Launch of a new 3 months FD with interest upfront and no penalty charge on premature.
- Launch of Punchi Pathum – A Minor Savings account provides the flexibility to withdraw funds before the c hild turns 18.
2013
- Recognized as one of the top 100 listed companies in Sri Lanka by LMD.

2014

- UBC gets $117Mn (LKR 15Bn) investment from USA based, leading global private investment firm TPG, making it one of the largest FDI's to Sri Lanka.
- UBC becomes the 8th Licensed Commercial Bank to be appointed as a Primary Dealer in Government Securities by CBSL.
