Handling lost or stolen credit cards
Let us know immediately on +94 11 5 800 800 if you've lost your Card, or think it may be stolen. We will then be able to cancel the Card and prevent fraudulent transactions.
Lost/ Stolen cards maybe reported in two ways:
- 1. Customer directly informs the Contact Center after realizing the loss/ theft
- 2. Customer informs the Card Security & Compliance team of the Bank during verifications on suspicious transactions
In both cases, the agent being informed (whether at Contact Center or Card Security & Compliance department) will immediately block the card account. The customer shall be informed of the liability of the transactions that have been authorized until then. The Bank’s Contact Center will inform such incidents to Card Security & Compliance unit of the Bank, that shall take necessary action as per the standard process.
